Q.  I am a Tradesman.  How do I get listed on this site ?

Click on 'Tradesman registration' and fill in your details.
You will need the details of two referees to complete your registration. These must be private customers you have worked for and not family/relations or other trades. They will be contacted by us to obtain their recommendations. Please ensure they are prepared to give you a reference and they know we will be in contact with them.
Thereafter you will require a new reference every 6 months.

Q. When will I appear on any search results?

After receipt of your first reference and registration is completed with all the required details. We will contact your references by phone first and then in writing and as long as their recommendations are in order you will stay listed. If we don't get a reply from your references or there is any other problem with your registration you will not be listed until this is sorted.


Q. My Trade doesn't appear in the drop down list?

Complete your registration using 'Other' with your trade as first line in the description box of the services you offer and this will be added to the drop down list. 


Q. How many leads can I receive?

During registration you can input the maximum number of leads you would like to receive per day. When you have received this number you will not appear on customers search results again until the following day. This is to save wasted time for both trade and customer alike.
You can only input the number of leads you want to receive at first registration. To change the number at a later date you will need to contact us. 

 
Q. How do I know when I have received a lead?

You will receive an SMS text to your mobile phone and an email to your email address supplied on registration. You will then need to log on to your account on the website to access the details of the lead.


Q. How long does a lead stay available on my account?

You have 48hrs to decide on whether to accept the lead after which it will be automatically deleted from your account. This is to ensure the customer isn't left waiting too long as they will then receive an email advising them to try another.


Q What if I do not want to receive any more leads for a while?

In your registration details which you can edit at any time there is an 'available' box which, when unticked will not list you on any search results. This can be used when you are too busy and have booked up enough work for the forseeable future or are going on holiday etc. 
There is a seperate availability box for the emergency part of the system so you can still respond to call outs of this nature even if you are not available on the normal system. 
 

Q. How do I ensure I only get leads in my area?

At registration you input your postcode and distance you are willing to travel.
During a customer search they also input their postcode and if this falls within your mileage limit you will appear on their results listing. You do not appear on any listing where the customers postcode is outside your mileage limit.


Q. Where will I appear on a customers search results list?

There is no
points scoring system or preference shown in the listing it is purely down to distance from the customer as determined by the postcodes. Closest will be first on the list.


Q. How many Tradesmen can receive the same lead?

The customer can only chose a maximum of 3 tradesmen to submit there job details to. You therefore know you are only one of up to three that can have received the lead.


Q. How am I protected from receiving false leads?

In order for customers to be able to leave their job details they must first register on the site with their name, and contact details. It is unlikely they will want to leave these details and not have honourable intent. However, should you feel you have received an incorrect or malicious lead please contact us and we will investigate. You will receive a full refund if this is confirmed. 

Q. How do I pick up my leads?

Proceed to pay for the lead in the normal way filling in all required fields and card details but leaving the start date and issue number boxes empty. Proceed to accept conditions etc and then click on purchased leads. The system will then give you the lead contact details. The fee is £10.00 per lead.
